Gurupoornima:
On the ‘Gurupoornima day’, students, teachers pay their respects
at the ‘statue of knowledge’, [which has a symbolic presence of
most of the branches of knowledge].
On the Teachers Day,
apart from felicitation by giving ‘Shreephal’,
the students of std 9th take up the teaching assignments for the entire day.
This day has also come to know as ‘Students Day’.

Festivals: are celebrated with a view of making the students aware
of the social importance of these festivals.
Aaji Aajoba Sammelan
[A.A.S]: was been introduced in 2002 with an objective to bring the
senior parents together for the benefit of their grand children with the help
of their knowledge and experience.
Annual Gathering : The school organizes
cultural activities every alternate year.
The programmes are always based on a theme. The theme is always connected
with issues of social importance like National Integration, Patriotism,
Social Injustice etc.
The parents also assist in
staging the programmes.
We organize only group [std wise] programmes so that maximum nos of students
can participate. This event is organized on 2 days. 1day for Jr.Kg to std
4th and 2nd day for std 5th onwards. All the parents are invited [including
relatives, crèche personnel etc] and transport facility [to & fro]
is provided. The expenses are borne by the school. This includes the costumes,
makeups, property, sound system etc.
Gunavatta Gaurav
[Talent Appreciation] takes place every year. Those students who have done
well in Sports, Academics, Arts etc are felicitated with cash awards and memento
and these students are given a ‘Star Badge’.
The school also has a ‘BEST
STUDENT AWARD’. The students are monitored round the year,
their behaviour, progress [studies or otherwise] is evaluated. Their ability
to participate in school activities and leadership qualities are observed.
Normally, students from std 5th onwards are considered for this most coveted
award. All senior teachers participate in this year long scrutiny.
Inter School Quiz Competition [temporarily discontinued]
is being conducted where many schools in Dombivli & Kalyan area send their
teams. The response was always very good. The activity is being temporarily
discontinued for lack of appropriate time slot [which will enable more &
more schools to participate]. This is the only one of its kind of Quiz Competition
in Dombivli.
Workshops are conducted for Jr.KG, std 1st, std 3rd &
std 10th parents. The school also arrange for refresher courses for teachers
on a regular basis.
Parents Participation
: Parents have always been with the school and contributed to the
development of this project. Apart from regular interaction with teachers,
some parents [from the field of education] are invited to ‘observe teaching’
and are requested to recommend ‘corrections’, ‘changes’
wherever felt. Parents take active part in school programmes.
